Fog Warning by Edward Lorn

Fog Warning - Edward Lorn

I was given a copy of this ebook from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Brent Cummings, an ED doc and addict with a disturbing past, finds himself in thick fog as he walks home from work. In the fog he sees a dead body, he alerts the police, the body disappears and he is searched for acting suspiciously during which they find his stash of Oxycontin and his life begins to unravel. When he sees the 'dead' girl alive and well he wonders what the message in the fog was about, a premonition? something that he can change? To do this he will have to confront his past.

One thing that really stands out in the book was the dialogue, engaging, sharp and funny. It flows effortlessly between the characters and I enjoyed Brent's inner voice as it narrates his downward spiral.

Some nice effectively creepy scenes and whilst it's not especially gory there is one incident that was absolutely sickening. Brent should not be a sympathetic character yet you still end up rooting for him to get justice and find some closure from his troubled past.

Recommended.
